Omair is a graduate of The University of the South – Sewanee, with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics. He has previously worked at SNL Financial, a financial analytics company headquartered in Virginia, on their global expansion initiatives.
Since March 2013, Omair has served as the Director of the Network of Organizations Working for People with Disabilities, Pakistan (NOWPDP). He is responsible for overall management of the organization, strengthening and increasing the impact of its projects.
Samar is a Fulbright Scholar and a graduate of New York University (NYU), with a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
She has had work experiences at United Nations, St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospital’s Family and Child Care Division and the Cooke Center for Learning Disabilities in New York. She also has an international publication with a chapter in APA’s Handbook of Multicultural Psychology, 2013 to her credit. Her interest in cricket (specifically Shahid Afridi) also led her to host a T-20 world cup cricket show on Dawn news in 2012.
She was previously associated with the Aman Foundation, before joining NOWPDP in January 2014.
Samar is currently heading NOWPDP’s yaqEEEn project, which aims to develop institutions into equal opportunity providers, inclusive of people with disabilities.
Since joining NOWPDP in 2009, Karim was responsible for the Finance, and then later, the admin department at NOWPDP. He is responsible for developing and implementing financial systems and procedures, compliance and reporting for NOWPDP’s grant-funded projects along with ensuring the smooth running of the organization.
Karim has completed a Masters in Business Administration with a Major in Finance from Hamdard University, Karachi. Before joining NOWPDP, Karim worked for Pakistan Cables Ltd as an Accounts Officer.
Faizan is a graduate of the University of Birmingham, with a Masters in Development Management. He has previously worked with Islamic Relief Academy, Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi, USAID Assessment and Strengthening Program, and Save the Children in a range of different capacities. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Sciences from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
Faizan joined NOWPDP in June 2015 as the External Engagement Manager and is responsible for undertaking the leadership, planning, development and delivery of NOWPDP external engagements, including communications, external relations, fundraising and the NOWPDP Resource Center.
Nabil is a Graduate in Sociology, a part time Model, a show choreographer and a hard core Salman Khan fan. His motto in life is “Being Human”. He has previously worked with PR companies in the field of media and fashion, and has participated in the coordination of major events such as the Sindh Festival and ARY Film Awards Nabil started his career at NOWPDP as Human Resources officer and progressed to being the Head of Impact Assessment.
Globally renowned Futurologist and Trend spotter, Magnus Lindkvist defines Amin as one of those rare individuals who combines a strong intellect and integrity with a vibrant personality and curiosity. Amin heads the Rickshaw Project, which enables people with disabilities through changing mindsets and physical environment. With his three years’ experience of planning and executing large scale national events, he streamlines the operations of The Rickshaw Project for making it a successful sustainable model. An MBA from SZABIST, Amin was previously associated with Terrabiz.
