Accessible Cycle Design Challenge session held at University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore

Friday, 29th January 2016: The Rickshaw Project team, consisting of Program Assistants – Khadija Rehman & Ali Fateh, represented NOWPDP at the Accessible Cycle Design Challenge session held at University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore. The audience consisted of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE) team only, since UET Lahore officially re-opens for the spring semester in February.

Khadija briefed the students about the Design Challenge and shared inspirational stories of persons with disabilities. Ali and her also met with a team of students in UET that is designing a wheelchair for their Final Year Project (FYP). The Accessible Cycle Design Challenge will also be incorporated into UET students’ FYP, something NOWPDP eagerly looks forward to.
