Baithaks held in Baldia Town Union Councils 5, 6 & 8

The Rickshaw Project team conducted two Baithak in Saeedabad (Baldia Town Union Council 5) on Tuesday 29th December 2015, reaching out to 24 individuals.  A total of 36 Muslim Mujahid Colony and Rasheedabad (Baldia Town Union Councils 6 & 8) members of the public participated in the Baithaks held in both areas on Wednesday 30th December 2015. Audience members in these Baithaks were proactive in their participation and gave the following comments/input:

  • “Disability is understood by all, but people hesitate to take initiatives.” (Saeedabad Baithak)
  • “Government support is crucial for inclusion.” (Saeedabad Baithak)
  • Muslim Mujahid Colony’s Committee President participated in the Baithak and assured to take steps to support persons with disabilities in his colony.
  • Imran, a person with a physical disability in Rasheedabad, share his story as to how supportive his friends and family members have been throughout. He was able to complete his intermediate and independently runs his own business now.
