With over 10 years of work with persons with disabilities towards their financial empowerment, NOWPDP’s Enterprise Development Center (EDC) was launched in 2018 to provide entrepreneurship training to members of the community that aim to set up their own businesses along with assistance in getting loans.
The training consists of a series of workshops that are conducted with specialized training manuals made in collaboration with Seeds Ventures, an entrepreneurship specialist organization.
Furthermore, graduates of EDC become eligible to apply for larger loans under the center which gives them the necessary financial capital to set up their businesses. Thus, EDC supports people with disabilities that aim to earn their livelihoods through entrepreneurship, both academically and financially.
8 businesses of persons with disabilities were initiated in 2018-19.
