HBL Inclusive Banking Project in final leg

February-April 2017: In the final leg of the Inclusive Banking Project with HBL, the equal opportunity employment process commenced with interviews in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. In Karachi, 15+ shortlisted candidates with physical, hearing, speech and visual impairment (out of pool of 50+ candidates) were interviewed on 13th February at HBL’s Regional Office at Dawood Center.

Four panelists from HBL – Mr. Nooruddin Pasnani – Head Centralized Operations Processing Center, Global Operations, Mr. Sajjad Ur Rehman – Regional Operations Chief Karachi, Global Operations, Mr. Syed Irtiza Najib – Head Telesales Outbound Unit, Branch Banking and Mr. Shoaib Siddiqui – Head Talent Acquisition- Branch Banking, Human Resources interviewed the shortlisted candidates. Candidates were being considered, based on their qualifications and experience/skills, for various available positions such as data entry officer, cashier etc. and within various departments such as risk management, marketing, finance, phone banking etc. HBL will be shortlisting these candidates for online tests and/or second interviews based on their understanding.

In the first week of April, interviews of 10 and 5 shortlisted candidates in Lahore (Gulberg branch) and Islamabad respectively were held with facilitation by Program Yaqeeen. HBL will be placing these candidates based on their performance for available positions.

NOWPDP is confident in the scale and impact this project will have, both in the longer run and across more branches, as HBL becomes the pioneering inclusive bank of Pakistan.
