Dar-ul-Sukun organized a seminar “Leaping into Life” to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2015. The event was attended by representatives from the public, private and the non – profit sector. It focused on raising awareness and promoting “Inclusion, access and empowerment for people of all abilities.” The seminar was addressed by Umair Jaliawala, representing the School of Leadership, who gave a motivational talk on inclusion, Izhar ul-Haq from the Punjab Welfare Trust of Disable spoke about shifting paradigms in disability and the influx of innovations. The event was also attended by the acclaimed journalist, Ghazi Salahuddin, who touched on the role of media vis-à-vis disability advocacy; and Ghulam Nabi Nizamani, who is a disability advocate and an international representative for Pakistan in the field of disabilities, spoke about how diversity enhances the growth of cultures.
