NOWPDP and PFFB Islamabad discuss ways to mainstream persons with visual impairments

Wednesday, 3rd August 2016: Sana Faheem and Zaynab Abedin, NOWPDP’s External Engagement team members, met with Pakistan Foundation Fighting Blindness (PFFB) team at their Head Office in Islamabad. Mrs. Lubna Aftab, Company Secretary, and Mr. Ali, Head IT, were kind enough to elaborate how PFFB has actively been working on educating and empowering persons with visual impairments (blind) and discussed ideas with NOWPDP representatives for possible collaboration between the two organizations.

Sana and Zaynab were fortunate to meet two of their brilliant visually impaired graduates, also their employees now, Mr. Talal and Ms. Rabail, who represent Pakistan nationally and internationally for trainings. Mrs. Aftab also gave a tour of the audio and computer rooms where educational material is recorded for the visually impaired and thereon uploaded on their online library.

NOWPDP is thankful to PFFB team for their hospitality, extremely inspired with their work and looks forward to empowering and mainstreaming persons with visual impairments (blind) collectively with them.
