Wednesday, 16th November 2016: NOWPDP team attended the Women Leading Change session, which was organized as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrations at The Nest I/O, headed by Ms. Jehan Ara – also part of NOWPDP’s esteemed Executive Committee. A wonderful panel of ladies from all walks of life spoke about their entrepreneurial experiences at the session, giving much inspiration to the NOWPDP team.
Ms. Shehla Ali, Principal – JS Academy for the Deaf was also invited by NOWPDP to interpret the session in Sign Language for two of NOWPDP’s beneficiaries (young ladies named Abeera and Habiba) undergoing vocational training in Rangoonwala Trust through Program Dastoor. Through this, the aim was to allow them to develop ideas on how to hone their skills and to take them forward by listening to inspiring stories the ladies at the event had to share.
NOWPDP looks forward to attending more inspiring and energetic sessions at The Nest I/O and towards making such sessions and events in Karachi and thereon Pakistan, inclusive of persons with disabilities.
