NOWPDP & WonderTree join hands to research on games for children with intellectual impairments

Monday, 8th August, 2016: NOWPDP signed an MoU with WonderTree, a startup incubated at P@SHA’s Tech Incubator The Nest I/O and winner of the Third Prize at the GIST TECH-I Startup Competition held at Stanford University, to conduct a 3-month research implementing their games specially designed for children with intellectual impairments. 5 children from Zainab Rehabilitation Center (ZRC), NOWPDP’s partner organization, will be participating in the research.

The games use the concept of augmented reality in which the child interacts with the games using movements and gestures. The games provide an interactive world to the child, which boost the child’s attention span, motivation, alongside improving and developing specific skills by specific games. NOWPDP looks forward to publishing the co-authored research report and towards more collective work with WonderTree.
