NOWPDP's new round for self-employment goes steady as business proposals by persons with disabilities pour in

Monday, 25th June 2018: With the first round of NOWPDP’s self-employment initiative’s success in helping transform lives of persons with disabilities who kick started their own businesses; another round has been launched to facilitate them into earning a livelihood for themselves.

The self-employment initiative urges persons with disabilities who have business ideas they would want to pursue to register and submit their business proposals. Team NOWPDP visited different institutions and organizations to give sessions on the self- employment initiative and to encourage persons with disabilities to register. The organizations where the information sessions happened include MALC, Amigos and Pakistan Association of Blind (PAB) as well as in the NOWPDP House.

The proposals have now been received and are in the process of being shortlisted after which the persons with disabilities chosen will have to go through an entrepreneurship training.

NOWPDP looks forward to business ideas of persons with disabilities becoming a reality.
