Self-Employment with the Collaboration of Seed Ventures Completed

Monday, 10 September 2018: Self-Employment Training: NOWPDP started self-employment training for its Enterprise Development Center with the collaboration of Seed Ventures.

Sixteen trainees with disabilities completed the training where they were facilitated in terms of honing their business ideas and taught how to market, self-management and most importantly financial discipline. Interactive activities were also done for the trainees to push themselves to think out of the box and engage with their colleagues.

“Main pehli dafa apnay ghar se is training kay liye nikli hun kyun k mujhay kahin Janay mein boht dushwariyan hoti hain. Lekin main boht khush hun kay maine ye qadam uthhaya aur main aur bhi zada mehnat kerungi”, said Nadia, a wheel chair user and one of the trainees who stitches clothes. [It’s hard for me to move around so I don’t but I got out of my house especially for this training. And, I am very happy that I took this step and I will work even harder.]

These trainees were recently awarded their certificates at the official launch of NOWPDP Enterprise Development Center.
